The 2024 horizon promises to be fabulous, as one of the world’s biggest electronic music festivals signs up for a comeback for the 2024 season. It’s the EDC Festival. Once again, the state of Nevada hosts this festive gathering in the city of Las Vegas, with a single theme: Electro music. In a summery atmosphere that encourages relaxation, the best electronic music artists and DJs will be on hand to get the public up and dancing. In the truest sense of the word, this is a highly festive festival.
An event not to be missed
The Electric Daisy Carnival is an impressive sound and light show that attracts thousands of electro music fans every year. It also brings together the best electro artists from different musical genres such as techno, trance, hardstyle and dubstep. For 3 days, the Las Vegas Motor Speedway is transformed into a hub of entertainment and music. It’s a veritable festival of light and sound. In addition to the stages for musical performances, there are a number of other exciting and entertaining facilities.
The Electric Daisy Carnival story
The first EDC event was held in 1997 at the Shrine Expo Hall in Los Angeles, California. Insomniac partner Philip Blaine has credited the use of this name for the festival. Then, with the expansion of electronic music festivals across the country and, in some cases, the city of Los Angeles, the festival gained notoriety and became the biggest electronic music event outside Europe. This earned him the nickname<{{{wpml_tag_1}}}>. The promoters of the event, Insomniac Events, organize new events in various other states year after year. So we have Puerto Rico in 2009, Dallas in 2010, Orlando in 2011, New York in 2012, and so on.
Although it has spread to the biggest cities in the United States, it has not stopped gaining notoriety, and this has led to it being reproduced in other countries such as Brazil, England, Japan and Mexico.
Musical programming
This year’s musical program has yet to be announced. Nonetheless, it’s no surprise that the line-up for this year’s event will be of the highest quality.
Previous editions have featured headliners such as Excision, David Guetta, Fisher, Kaskade, Tiesto and Above & Beyond. Artists such as KETTAMA, Patrick Topping, Todd Terry, Kaytranada, salute and Chaney were all present. Unreleased B2Bs include. Loco Dice & Fisher, Warface & D-Sturb, Biscits & Martin Ikin, as well as Tchami & AC Slater.
In all, over a hundred different artists were called upon to perform. It has to be said that his three days were fully booked.
Arts and Performance
L’ Electric Daisy Carnival is first and foremost a festival. And as such, it must meet certain entertainment criteria. Of course, the main theme is supposed to be music, but in the summertime, that’s unusual. For the event is built around themes such as sophisticated rides, ambitious art installations, carnival, costume shows, spinning wheels and much more. This turns the festival site into a veritable amusement park, featuring a wide range of electro music. This gives L’EDC extensive experience in electro music, theater, pyrotechnics and various shows. It should be pointed out that a funfair has been set up in the vicinity of the festival. The clubs in the surrounding area are also mobilizing to enhance the event and enable festival-goers to enjoy themselves to the full over the three days of the festival.
It should be noted that with all these mobilizations, the musical experience is highly immersive for all participants without exception.
Information
For theyear 2024, theElectric Daisy Carnival will start on Friday May 17 and end on Sunday May 19. As always, the festival will be held at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, in the Las Vegas valley in the U.S. state of Nevada.
The festival starts at 7 pm. Details of ticket prices and types can be found on the official event website. Tickets are divided into two main categories: general admission and VIP experience. Both types of ticket include taxes and event fees. Nevertheless, the latter category confers many more privileges than the former, including cutting through the waiting lines, better views of the various stages, and access to all the festival’s VIP areas. Unfortunately, one-day passes are sold out, so only 3-day passes are available.
As the music festival itself takes place in the evening, you can take advantage of your days to visit the various venues hosting the event, or even the various clubs that abound in the area. If you don’t want to be left high and dry on the water, it’s a good idea to dress in bright neon colors and flashy clothes such as swimsuits or short tank tops. Your outfit should be the perfect ensemble for EDM madness. The minimum age for participation in the festival is 21, and any participant not meeting this age requirement must be accompanied by an adult guardian. For accommodation, festival-goers can opt for hotel rooms or campsites, all within easy reach of the festival site. Over 400,000 people attend the festival every year.
With its relentless creativity, Electric Daisy Carnival guarantees that the event of 2024 will be yet another success.
