Festipote: A festival of friends in the heart of the Levens mountains!

We were invited to the Festipote to soak up the energy of this friendly, warm event, in a trippy venue the Ferme de Saurea, in the heart of the Levens mountains in the 06. Festipote was originally launched in August 2022, and a second edition was not planned. It was during the birthday party of Medo, the owner of the venue, that the conception of the Roots Edition was organized with theEntrepote team. To bring this project to fruition, they mobilized their friends and family to act as the festival’s referents, informing and guiding their teams of volunteers in the various areas: set-up and dismantling, security, cleanliness, kitchen and bar.
They called on 2 sound systems, the Sixpointcinq association and Dub Coast Sound System, to manage the musical ambience of the festival. We were able to choose between two stages: one with a chill ambience, featuring dub music and a live machine with live vocal performances, and the other a little more frenzied, with drum and bass and psytrance.
Booths included an electronic cigarette and accessories store, an art stand (painting…) and a thrift shop. For basic necessities, showers and dry toilets were available. In terms of catering, there was a canteen offering a hearty breakfast that varied daily, as well as homemade dishes, grilled meats, a pizzaiolo and a bar.
The day was punctuated by events and performances such as bolasse initiations, Brazilian bracelet workshops, dance shows, an impressive fireworks display and plenty of other surprises.
All the artists present at the festival are close friends of the associative groups, and have agreed to play for the event on a voluntary basis, enabling them to offer entry and consumption prices that are accessible to all. The same goes for the booths, dancers and performers, with local artists offering their services to liven up the 4-day festival.
Their aim being to offer festival-goers unforgettable memories, it was the greatest reward for them to know that their mission had been a royal success, for they hadn’t foreseen that their event would bring together so many souls to feast united in joy and good humor. Following this event, they were able to open their own premises, the bar à potes, at 6 rue Saint-Vincent in Nice.
We hope there’ll be another edition next year, and we’ll be there!
