Introduction: Mzperx, on its way to dominating the hard techno scene and beyond…
Mzperx, real name Bendeguz Rendes, is an emerging artist on the electronic music scene. With an ever-evolving career, Mzperx has made a name for himself with his unique, energetic style. In this interview he shares with us his background, musical style, creative process and future projects.
Who is Mzperx?
Born into a family of musicians, Mzperx has been immersed in music from an early age. His stage name, Mzperx, was inspired by an old Hungarian cartoon series. Growing up, mzperx discovered his love for electronic music and decided to become a DJ and producer.
Her international career began in Bordeaux, France, with the help of Lilith and Demain Kollectiv. Mzperx is still very much connected to the French scene and has played at numerous parties in France, notably with Fusion Collectiv, Kosmos Family, and Vinka Wydro ‘s series of events called Resurrection. He’ll be back in Montpellier very soon (January 2024).
His career has included some unforgettable highlights, such as his performance at Verknipt in Amsterdam, as well as playing his music at events such as Awakenings, Tomorrowland and EDC Las Vegas.
Mzperx’s musical style:
As a DJ/producer, Mzperx describes his musical style as open-minded, exploring mainly hard techno, neorave, hardcore and Frenchcore. He also works on hybrid styles with hip-hop and drill. His main musical influences come from a variety of genres, but his main focus is on the energy the music exudes.

The process of creating Mzperx:
For Mzperx , the process of creating music varies from time to time. It may be inspired by analog equipment, a vocal idea or simply by hearing a song. However, the basis of his creation is always the same: the creation of kick, which he considers to be the foundation of each piece. For produce your own musicmzperx uses software such as FL Studio and Ableton, as well as hardware and instruments such as the AKAI MPC ONE+, synthesizers and drum machines such as Behringer TD-3, RD-6, RD-9, Arturia Microfreak, Drumbrute Impact, Korg Volca Keys, Volca Sample, along with external reverbs and compressors.
Mzperx live performances:
The difference between Mzperx’s approach as a DJ and as a producer in his live performances lies in his experimental side as a producer. As a DJ, he likes to feel the audience’s reactions to his music and create an immersive experience for them. To select the tracks it includes in its DJ sets, mzperx is highly selective, looking for well-chosen bangers that appeal to different audiences.
Mzperx’s vision of the techno scene
According to Mzperx, the electronic music industry has evolved in recent years with a shift towards an approach more focused on appearance, connections and marketing rather than the music itself. However, he still sees opportunities for emerging DJs/producers to stand out by bringing something new and being unique in their musical style.

Mzperx answers our questions
Mzperx shares his unique perspectives and answers our questions in our exclusive interview :
What’s your favorite DAW, and what VSTs do you recommend?
FL Studio is the one I started out with, so I have a huge love for it! For plugins: Camel Crusher, UAD and FabFilter.
What are the key elements you look for in a track to give it your signature sound?
Highly dynamic, massive sound that seems capable of shattering the walls of the club.
What are your main musical influences, and how are they reflected in your work?
Most of my influences come from totally different genres. I rarely listen to techno, concentrating mainly on energies. Energy, energy, energy, that’s what I’m looking for!
Got a sound to share?
One of the first hardcore tracks I played and still play, bringing back fond memories: Prof. Dr. Peacock & Billx – It’s Called XTC.
What advice do you have for up-and-coming DJs/producers?
Try to sound different and be yourselves! Bring something new, be unique! The scene is now full of young people producing similar tracks with the same sounds.Prioritize the music. Learn and produce for yourself first, not to impress the kids on TikTok.
What technical or artistic aspects do you think are important to focus on in order to progress as a DJ/producer?
From time to time, it’s very important to completely renew yourself and bring in something fresh. And try to discover what will be “trendy” in the future. In music, the present is already the past.
Future plans for Mzperx:
As far as future projects are concerned, Mzperx would like to play in different parts of the world, such as the United States. He also wants to attract more and more fans to enjoy his music.
