Eight years ago, in the heart of the Hautes-Alpes, two friends launched Darkside Events, an initiative with a clear goal: to bring electronic music to a wider audience. Today, you may be wondering, how has it evolved?
If you follow the electronic scene in the Hautes-Alpes, you’ve probably heard of the series of events organized by Darkside Events. From small parties to full-blown festivals, the appeal has grown and the community has expanded year after year. This journey has been marked by a constant desire to promote and democratize electronic music, to offer a rich cultural offering in the heart of the Hautes-Alpes, and to showcase the region on a national scale.
The first edition of the Spirits Festival will take place on August 18 and 19, in the heart of the Hautes-Alpes, on the shores of the magnificent Lac de Siguret. This event promises to be the summer rendezvous for all electronic music fans.
Careful programming for a memorable experience
The festival is distinguished by its unique location. Perched at an altitude of over 1000 metres, between forests and mountains, on the edge of a lake… All the ingredients are in place to offer festival-goers an unforgettable experience that’s totally new to the Hautes-Alpes region.
The Spirits Festival will feature a camping area for those wishing to stay on site, a concert area accessible via ticket purchase, and a daytime open-access area. The organization has made it a point of honor to welcome internationally renowned artists as well as emerging talents, and of course local artists.
Headliners include Italian DJ Gonzi, who has toured the world and played at some of the biggest festivals, French producer Sköne, one of today’s hottest artists, and Badjokes, an artist from Marseilles whose tracks are played by top DJs such as DJ Snake and Malaa.
