Cette publication est également disponible en : French Spanish

Today is a special day, because the Techno Parade celebrates its 25th anniversary in Paris. So, if you’re ready for an unforgettable musical experience, take a few minutes to find out everything you need to know about this iconic event.

Techno Parade: A Quarter Century of Electro in Paris

The big day has finally arrived! The Techno Parade, which began in 1998, is celebrating its 25th anniversary today. Imagine yourself in the heart of the French capital, immersed in the electrifying atmosphere of electronic music, surrounded by thousands of enthusiasts. This year, organizers are hoping to welcome no fewer than 400,000 people from all over the world to celebrate a quarter-century of passion and commitment to electronic music culture.

Why Techno Parade?

The Techno Parade is much more than just a party. It’s a space of freedom, open to all, regardless of age or social background. It’s an opportunity to immerse yourself in culture without money being an obstacle, a moment of sharing where the smiles on the dancers’ faces are the greatest reward. In these times of inflation and financial concerns, the Techno Parade remains a refuge of free and shared enjoyment.

The Claims

Since its inception, the Techno Parade has been an ardent defender of techno culture and an advocate of freer partying. This year, it is once again calling for greater recognition of electronic music in France, and fair treatment for those involved in the movement. It is also calling for the creation of suitable zones for electro events, and the adjustment of noise regulations to reflect the specificities of this music.

Le Parcours 2023

It all kicks off today at noon, at Place de la Bastille, with three hours of dancefloor action to get you in the mood. At 3 p.m., the procession will set off for Place de la République, passing through several of Paris’s most emblematic boulevards. The parade will end at Place de la Nation in the early evening, at 7 p.m. sharp.

Floats and DJs

This year, sixteen floats will take to the streets of the capital, each featuring a variety of DJs ready to blow your mind. Expect incredible performances from Heretik System, Family Piknik, Plein Phare, NOGENDER and many more. DJs include Popof, Maud Geffray, Tom Pooks, Kiko, S3A and many more.

The After Party

And there’s more to come! The after-parade continues on Saturday and Sunday at the Parc de La Villette, an ideal location for 3,500 people under the ring road. The closing party is organized by the Family Piknik festival, straight from the south of France. Some fifteen DJs will be on hand to prolong the magic of the Techno Parade.
