The countdown is on for the long-awaited event of the year: the Hadra Trance Festival 2023. From August 24 to 27, the Plan d’Eau de Vieure will be transformed into a realm of psychedelic dreams, where music, creativity and the unconscious merge to create an unforgettable experience.
Since its creation in 2001, the Hadra association has never stopped pursuing its dream of bringing a psychedelic festival vibrant with color and energy to France. This year, the central theme is dreams, a portal to the unexplored, the absurd and the hidden beauty of our inner world. The 2023 edition promises to be a celebration of letting go and unbridled imagination, where every participant is invited to let his or her mind run wild for four days of pure enchantment.

Immerse yourself in the heart of the Village, where workshops, lectures and performances await explorers of the unconscious. 2023 programming
The Hadra Trance Festival team has worked passionately to bring to life a program that combines spellbinding music, environmental commitment and artistic diversity. This year, it is proud to present a selection of emerging talents and established values, all brought together in a harmonious picture.
In keeping with their eco-responsible approach, measures have been taken to reduce the carbon footprint by limiting air travel. The team is also determined to promote the presence of women in the music industry, and to highlight the French associations and labels that enrich the psychedelic scene.
A variety of psytrance styles, from progressive and dark psytrance to full-on and psygressive, will be on show. Each of these styles has been carefully arranged to offer a fluid and thoughtful experience of their evolution.

This year, they have chosen not to increase ticket prices, and the 4-day pass has been maintained at the fixed rate of €140.
Free companion pass for people with a minimum 80% disability card or a 3rd category disability pension can obtain a free pass for their companion.

This year, the Hadra association is undertaking a major overhaul of the Hadra Trance Festival, after five editions on the Plan d’Eau de Vieure site. The festival seeks to respond to a number of issues that have arisen in previous editions, and to give a new dimension to the event.
The association has reached the financial limits of its business model in place since 2016, due to current inflation. In order to keep rates accessible, Hadra is increasing the festival’s capacity from 8,000 to 10,000 paid admissions, while maintaining existing rates. This transition is accompanied by various improvements, including a new site layout with enlarged campsites, improved traffic flow and an increase in the number of music stages, from 3 to 4.
The festival receives strong support from its local partners, notably the Communauté de Communes du Bocage Bourbonnais and the Mairie de Vieure, who have signed a three-year agreement to ensure the event’s continued existence until 2025. However, uncertainty hangs over the year 2024 due to the Olympic Games, which could result in another year without a festival.
A new feature this year is the presentation of a documentary entitled “Rêves qui devient réalité – Utopies”, tracing the history of the psytrance culture culture in France. The festival also continues its commitment to the environment by assessing its carbon impact and implementing strategies for a long-term ecological transition.
The Hadra Trance Festival 2022 was a success, with enthusiastic audience participation despite the challenges posed by the health crisis. The event attracted nearly 8,000 festival-goers and had a significant economic impact on the region.
