graduated from the<strong>International Academy of Electronic Music<\/strong> (AIMEC) in Curitiba, marking the start of her journey into this musical universe.\nIn 2012, she moved to the Netherlands, where she completed her training in electronic music production at SAE Rotterdam.\nSince then, Joanna has continued to develop her career, both as a DJ and producer.\nHer tracks have been supported by renowned artists such as<strong>Amelie Lens<\/strong>, <strong>Shlomo<\/strong>, <strong>999999999,<\/strong> <strong>DAX J<\/strong>, and many others.\nShe has performed in many countries including Portugal, France, Germany and Argentina, each time bringing energetic performances and dynamic mixes.\nIn October, she will release her new EP entitled <strong>&#8220;Make Your Move&#8221;<\/strong> on <strong>T Minus Records<\/strong>, followed by <strong>&#8220;Back to the Rave&#8221;<\/strong> in collaboration with Schroomp, focusing on hard techno and industrial sounds.\nJoanna continues to highlights, and the origin of your stage name?<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Joanna Coelho<\/strong>: After 20 years of playing and 10 years of producing, electronic music has become part of who I am.\nMy stage name is simply my real name.\nI would have loved to have a cool name filled with numbers and letters, but it didn&#8217;t work out that way.\nI like this personal touch, it creates a special bond with the fans, or as I call them, my &#8220;frans&#8221;, because after seeing certain familiar faces so many times at different parties, they become a bit like friends.   <\/p>\n\n<p><strong>TechnoMag<\/strong>: How did you fall in love with electronic music, and what inspired you to become a DJ and producer?<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Joanna Coelho<\/strong>: My love of electronic music began when I was a teenager, thanks to a group of friends.\nWhen I was 16, I started a DJ course.\nAt the time, we were still using vinyl.\nBeing part of collectives in my hometown allowed me to immerse myself in rave culture, study and travel.\nIt was really when I moved to Europe ten years later that I was able to work professionally in this field.    <\/p>\n\n<p><strong>TechnoMag<\/strong>: How would you describe your musical style as a DJ\/producer?<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Joanna Coelho<\/strong>: That&#8217;s always a tricky question, because I find it hard to confine myself to a single genre.\nYou could say it&#8217;s hard techno, but in my sets you&#8217;ll also hear psytechno, rawstyle, schranz, hardstyle, new rave, gabba, hardgroove, and much more. <\/p>\n\n<p><strong>TechnoMag<\/strong>: Can you tell us about your creative process as a producer?\nHow do you approach the creation of a new track? <\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Joanna Coelho<\/strong>: I usually start with the drums, then add the melody.\nI create a convincing loop and then build a basic structure.\nAfter that, I define the melodies, vocals and general atmosphere of the track.\nAt this stage, the track probably has a name in line with its theme.\nAfter a lot of fine-tuning, listening and testing, I sometimes play it in the studio.\nIf the track seems promising, I submit it as a demo, otherwise I continue working on it or move on to something else.     <\/p>\n\n<p><strong>TechnoMag<\/strong>: What software, equipment or instruments do you use to produce your music?<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Joanna Coelho<\/strong>: I use Ableton for production, with a Shure mic and an AKAI midi keyboard.\nSometimes I use Behringer&#8217;s TD3 to build loops for live performances, and I map all this to the APC40. <\/p>\n\n<p><strong>TechnoMag<\/strong>: What&#8217;s your favourite DAW and what VSTs do you recommend?<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Joanna Coelho<\/strong>: My favorite DAW is Ableton, and among the VSTs I often use are Serum, Vital, Rave Generator, Izotope, Ozone, Nectar and many others.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>TechnoMag<\/strong>: What advice would you give to young artists wishing to break into the electronic music industry as DJ\/producers?<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Joanna Coelho<\/strong>: Immerse yourself in your love of music.\nTrust your ability to be unique and build your image around it. <\/p>\n\n<p><strong>TechnoMag<\/strong>: What technical or artistic aspects do you think are important to develop in order to progress as a DJ\/producer?<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Joanna Coelho<\/strong>: There&#8217;s no magic formula, but it&#8217;s important to express through sound and image what characterizes your art.\nWe all have a particular personality and taste, and it&#8217;s interesting to imbue your art with that essence, as it will shape your entire production. <\/p>\n\n<p><strong>TechnoMag<\/strong>: What are your future projects and goals?<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Joanna Coelho<\/strong>: I hope to take my performances to the next level, and I&#8217;m planning to develop a live set for 2025.<\/p>\n<div
