It was when he agreed to work at producer Richie Hawtin’s local club, 13 Below, that Marc Houle’s destiny took a decisive turn.\nIt was there that he met Magda, another talented producer, who integrated Houle’s tracks into her DJ sets.\nWhen Hawtin heard Marc’s music, he was immediately struck by his exceptional talent.\nSo he signed him to his Minus label and released his debut album, “Restore”, in 2004.\nTwo years later, Houle created the sub-label Minus Items & Things, before moving to Berlin <\/strong>in 2008.\nIn 2011, with the help of Magda and Troy Pierce, the label separated from Minus to become independent. <\/p>\n Among Marc Houle’s outstanding achievements is his bold reinterpretation of Steve Poindexter’s 1989 acid-house track “Computer Madness”.\nOn the SOUND OF BERLIN project “Berlin undercover”, Marc Houle demonstrates his constant desire to push the boundaries.\nHe has managed to strike a balance between the authenticity of the original and his own musical imprint.\nHe used legendary chiptune samples from a battery-powered Casio, while replacing the CZ-101 samples with a powerful bass drum and acoustic toms.\nThe raw, analog energy of the original has been sublimated by the addition of a drumkit from elsewhere, offering a unique dimension to this project. <\/p>\n\n![\"\"](\"https:\/\/www.technomag.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/SOB023_FINAL_023-6_MarcHoule_ComputerMadness-1024x1024.png\")
